These two posts sum up the issue of misinformation in the age of social media and hyper-partisan politics pretty well.
There comes a point when posting false content doesn't even matter, so long as it confirms your worldview and elicits the approval of your side.

Not only that, my immediate thought is it won’t stop there. It’s probably written/edited by AI, uses AI music, nothing about it is worth my time. It is immediately devalued.
As an artist, seeing a publication/podcast/whatever use AI art instead of hiring an artist is exactly like watching a scab cross a picket line

i found myself scrolling through an AI 'artist's gallery on dA yesterday, assuming it was some sort of bot, and i scrolled down far enough to see LOADS of posts before 2022 that were their own, actual drawn pieces and i wanted to cry.
