A thermometer doesn't give a different number if you're red, blue--or green. Nor does a hurricane knock on your door and ask who you voted for in the last election before it destroys your home.

Experts agree: it's real, it's us, it's serious and there are solutions. We just need to implement them!

‘A defiant stand’: histories of Australia’s frontier wars are revealing their true complexity, but there’s more to be done
Australian military history is still unsure how to represent the frontier wars. Uprising contests most histories, describing a coordinated Aboriginal military front.

Farming within Earth’s limits is still possible – but it will take a Herculean effort
Flexitarian diets and breeding better livestock can make farming more sustainable. But it will take much more to farm within the planet’s limits

And the US just bombed Iran at the behest of Israel, which has been claiming its at immediate risk of a nuclear strike for 30 years and we’ll all be told Israel has a right to defend itself, but anything Iran does is an act of war and in another 30 years we’ll be told there was no need for any of it

They have been literally targeting and openly slaughtering journalists in Gaza. Which is where they test techniques. It’s normalised now. Why would anyone expect a press jacket to protect you when the press has been silent on what has been happening to their colleagues in Gaza?
If anyone is having trouble following my (increasingly long) thread tracking incidents where police assaulted journalists at protests in Los Angeles this weekend, it's also in spreadsheet form here. This is the more organized version I've been sending to lawyers, agency chiefs, electeds, etc.

A nurse. A teacher. A small biz owner — paying more tax than a multinational. That’s not fair. And the major parties? They've let it slide. A balanced parliament changes that. Independents keep tax reform on the table. Independence works. #auspol #VoteIndependent

It has now been 30 days with NO humanitarian aid getting into Gaza.

No food, no water, no medicine, no fuel.

That is barbaric. The U.S. must end our complicity in these atrocities.

A strong trade union movement improves the standard of living for all people.

There is a reason why we are the only major country not to guarantee health care for all or have paid family and medical leave.

We must grow the trade union movement in the United States.

The Netanyahu government has killed 50,000 people in Gaza & wounded 112,000.

Two weeks ago, they broke the ceasefire and have since killed 322 children & wounded 600.

The US must end its complicity.

Tomorrow, I will force votes to block $8.8 billion in arm sales to Netanyahu.

The list of tariffs Trump is imposing includes the uninhabitable Heard and McDonald islands, where penguins and beetles have been hit with a 10% "reciprocal" tariff for their non-existent exports to the US.
Stop helping insane people manufacture consent by using their language
Can journalists please fricking stop calling them "reciprocal" tariffs. They are not reciprocal at all.

- The starting wage is $22/hr.

- Paid parental leave is 1 year.
