Another day, another fossil finished! RNG is being very kind to me. This Plesiosaur fossil actually made me go on a quick Wikipedia deep dive, where I learned that all the variants I've previously seen have actually had relatively short necks for the species!

The player character's feet appear to be floating rather than standing on anything, a hint that the player had to rush to take this picture before the pesky on-screen clock could appear and cover the plesiosaur fossil's skull. The plesiosaur fossil is suspended in midair, with the neck bones arranged in a twisting, spiral manner to emphasize the mobility the creature had when it was alive.

The next fossil I dug up also completed a display...! What a lucky day. I wonder if this will happen again soon, or if I've used up all my luck for the rest of the month lol?

It's wings are raised up as though it may bring them down at any moment to create a large gust of air and fly away. Behind the pteranodon fossil, there is a large painting hanging on the wall going off-screen. The colors of the pigment used for the painting have faded with time, giving the entire painting a brown-ish tinge. You can still tell where lush greens were once used to depict swathes of grass and trees, and what once must have been a bright blue used to depict the sky and lake in the foreground of the painting. In the middle of a painting is a mountain, the once intricately crafted details becoming difficult to see through the veneer of brown. Perhaps there was once supposed to be snow on the mountain, but the colors have faded too much to be able to tell. Above the painting, the second floor's railing connects to the staircase's railing. From what is visible of the second floor, it appears to be empty. Brown tiles with a lighter brown trim make up a pathway from the stairs to an unknown part of the second floor of the museum. The walls are also brown, interrupted by a simple dado rail texture (yes, this too, is brown) stretching out from where the stairs end to denominate the separation of the floors. In the foreground of the picture, in front of the painting and beside the pteranodon fossil is an empty pedestal, where another fossil display might one day sit. In the corner of the screen is a round clock displaying the date and time the picture was taken. A green circle with a white F in it lets the viewer know it was taken on Friday, with the date beside the F reading 9/5 in black letters atop a swatch of white. But we're out of character space.

one of my strongest held beliefs is that "the left keeps losing because we keep arguing among ourselves" is bullshit, but that is really being tested when folks can't extend a single branch of trust to an independent store that has been actively facilitating adult and queer art for over a decade
