I finally caved and made this. Interests include Yu-Gi-Oh (OG Manga, mostly), IDOLiSH7, and old Animal Crossing games. I am an adult (25+)

Another day, another fossil finished! RNG is being very kind to me. This Plesiosaur fossil actually made me go on a quick Wikipedia deep dive, where I learned that all the variants I've previously seen have actually had relatively short necks for the species!

The player character's feet appear to be floating rather than standing on anything, a hint that the player had to rush to take this picture before the pesky on-screen clock could appear and cover the plesiosaur fossil's skull. The plesiosaur fossil is suspended in midair, with the neck bones arranged in a twisting, spiral manner to emphasize the mobility the creature had when it was alive.

The next fossil I dug up also completed a display...! What a lucky day. I wonder if this will happen again soon, or if I've used up all my luck for the rest of the month lol?

It's wings are raised up as though it may bring them down at any moment to create a large gust of air and fly away. Behind the pteranodon fossil, there is a large painting hanging on the wall going off-screen. The colors of the pigment used for the painting have faded with time, giving the entire painting a brown-ish tinge. You can still tell where lush greens were once used to depict swathes of grass and trees, and what once must have been a bright blue used to depict the sky and lake in the foreground of the painting. In the middle of a painting is a mountain, the once intricately crafted details becoming difficult to see through the veneer of brown. Perhaps there was once supposed to be snow on the mountain, but the colors have faded too much to be able to tell. Above the painting, the second floor's railing connects to the staircase's railing. From what is visible of the second floor, it appears to be empty. Brown tiles with a lighter brown trim make up a pathway from the stairs to an unknown part of the second floor of the museum. The walls are also brown, interrupted by a simple dado rail texture (yes, this too, is brown) stretching out from where the stairs end to denominate the separation of the floors. In the foreground of the picture, in front of the painting and beside the pteranodon fossil is an empty pedestal, where another fossil display might one day sit. In the corner of the screen is a round clock displaying the date and time the picture was taken. A green circle with a white F in it lets the viewer know it was taken on Friday, with the date beside the F reading 9/5 in black letters atop a swatch of white. But we're out of character space.

I've been playing City Folk on emu with a fan-made Deluxe patch that, among a whole host of other things, removes grass deterioration which is the whole reason why I've never played too much of City Folk. Today I completed my first fossil at the museum!

The player is inside the town museum, standing behind a large fossilized skeleton of a T-Rex. The skeleton has it's jaws open wide, as if it were letting out a mighty roar. It's neck and tail are curved in opposite directions, so as to give it a more interesting silhouette. The color of the fossil is a very light brown, showing the skeleton's age. The fossil is propped up with black poles to keep it in place, which go into a black textured podium. The texture seems to suggest carpeting? Or perhaps rugged marble. Who can say, really, it is a Wii game after all. The podium is lined with a brown material, perhaps wood or bronze. Behind the player and the T-Rex fossil, are other similar podiums. However, these have nothing on them. The player character is rotund and light-skinned, wearing a pointy black witch's hat with a bright yellow crescent moon emblazoned on the front. On their face they wear a black mask that frames their eyes with fabric. Their eyes are wide and pitch black as well, with white sparkles in the irises to add an artistic flair commonly found in shoujo manga. Poking out from under the hat is a tuft of white hair, held up by an unseen band. If one is familiar with the hair styles of Animal Crossing, they will recognize the hairstyle as being twintails even though only one tail is visible. Part of the player's outfit is obscure by the T-Rex fossil's leg bones, but what is visible appears to be a pitch black dress with slightly lighter black flowing ribbons attached to it. Beneath the dress we can see the player's white socks, with what may be a small black bow tied around the ankle. The player's shoes are black flat pumps, with a band of (most likely fake) diamonds decorating the top. In the corner of the screen is a round clock displaying the date and time the picture was taken. But, we're out of character space.
