Every teacher I’ve talked to, with or without kids, absolutely hates phones on campus. They are so disruptive. RISD has metrics on how much class time is lost to teachers policing devices, and it’s ridiculous. Kids can use a school phone if necessary.

Right? That’s how we did it. I don’t think some parents realize how deeply disruptive the phones are. If the kids were capable of self-regulating, it wouldn’t be an issue. But they are kids.
