For some reason I know far more boomers than Gen X people who did work they cared about, developed a concept of enough, and stuck to it.

Thinking about this made me think of the nurse I worked with for 15 yrs in 2 workplaces. Incredibly smart, a joy to work with, and when I walked up to her desk she'd slap her hand down over her pens and glare at me.
I did bring in pens regularly.
