I've learned a new term, which in Danish is called a "mågeleder", in English roughly a "seagull leader". A leader who flies into a room screaming. Knocks everything off the tables and shits on everything and everyone, then flies out again and leaves the cleanup to others. Does that ring a bell?

Trump wants Greenland, a part of Denmark. He claims it is to protect the security of USA. Who is he afraid of? Denmark with 6 million people. Russia and his best buddy Putin? Or China? Or is this just the behavior to be expected from the greediest bully in the schoolyard. May EU help us. NATO won't.

Another cyberattack by Russian hackers on Danish infrastructure. No one died. But what in God's name is the purpose? What do they think they are achieving? That is, beyond the Danes' deep-seated disgust for the Russian empire and everything it stands for.

Deals involving the president are so numerous and varied that it is hard to keep track. Almost nowhere is quid pro quo explicit. The point is to buy goodwill and trust Donald Trump to pay it back

What these types don't understand is that proper agreements are built on mutual trust. Trump has repeatedly broken agreements even that he himself entered into. There is no longer any trust that lasting agreements can be made with USA. And trust takes time to rebuild, no matter what is said by whom.

For Europe, the scenario that Russia gets control over Ukraine and its military resources is absolutely unacceptable. Europe should made that absolutely clear to Russia and USA. It is time for Russia to stop hostilities towards Ukraine to avoid direct confrontation with Europe, with or without Nato.

Listening to #JDV in #Greenland, it appears that the greatest and most poweful nation in the world is also the one most afraid about their own security. So much that they blame #Denmark for not protecting their base. I thougt the deal was that USA were given access to Greenland to protect USA.

If the meeting between Trump and Zelensky taught Europeans anything, it was that they must as quickly as possible secure themselves against ending up as slaves of Putin. But more importantly, at the same time, free themselves from dependence on the USA, which resembles a master/slave relationship.
