Can’t wait to see how bad the battery life on this baby is.

It is wild seeing a panel for the Xbox Series X on the Xbox 360 dashboard.

Sometimes I forget how aggressively small non-Resurrected Diablo II's stash was. And to think the non-expansion version was even smaller than this.

What do you mean it actually sounds alright?!

(I mean, it doesn't touch stuff actually made for FM synthesis, but it's better than I expected.)

One thing that really bugs me with Windows is that it likes to use Bing to search whenever you use the start menu search. Bing used to understand a query like “600*15” as a calculation and would show a calculator with the answer. Now it just shows useless search results.

I don’t wear glasses but they prescribed me reading glasses like 10 years ago that I never used. Dug them out randomly a few days ago, and tried them on, and I feel like I look better with glasses than without. Now I gotta balance looking better (IMO) and glasses being a pain in the ass.

Something I enjoy when working on the Yune randomizer is figuring out how these old GBA Fire Emblem games/GBA hardware in general work at the binary level. Especially by making things break in a very specific, controlled way.

I love dragon deck. I love dragon deck. I love dragon deck.

Finally tweaked enough to get a deck that I’m fairly happy with. Can potentially pull off cheese wins with Misty, but the downside is that I’m really bad at flipping heads.

I’m also not lucky enough to pull multiple EXs like everybody seems to have, so we make do with what we have. 🙃

It’s so close to being perfect. They just need to add a 10 hour option.

TIL the triangle attack works against the Iron Rune in FE7. I guess all the Iron Rune does is set the opposing unit’s critical chance to 0% but doesn’t affect the scripted critical attack that triangle attack does.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #326,789!

I remember when I joined that every few posts on this app was somebody’s fat cock. I’m sure they’re still floating around somewhere by happy to report my feed is a lot more interesting now.

Special shout-out to the Bench, Veterans (the MVPs of the gym fights (except maybe Hitmonlee)), and the Retirees that took one too many hits to the face and are now on a ranch somewhere.

Last but not least is Dwight the Hypno. He was also built with a single job in mind: deal with psychic types. To that end, I dumped my money into the game corner to get him Shadow Ball. With the help of Rolypoly’s Light Screen, he was able to take out Blue’s Alakazam before it got too many hits off.
August 25, 2024 at 10:28 PM
Rolypoly the Electrode was also built with one goal in mind for the endgame: eviscerate Blue’s Pidgeot. But it easily deals with water and/or flying types in general. Rolypoly was so fast that it would always get the first attack in, enough to seriously debilitate, if not kill outright, the enemy.
August 25, 2024 at 10:19 PM
Vinny the Venomoth was purpose built for one thing in mind: to be the worst enemy of any poison or fighting types. His typing lets him resist fighting moves by 1/4 and poison types by 1/2, while being able to blast back Psychic. He was easily able to tank Cross Chop crits without breaking a sweat.
August 25, 2024 at 9:55 PM
Odio the Vileplume was a early-mid game monster, despite the fact he was rocking nothing but Absorb and Acid for most of it. He fell off by the end, but was still good enough to deal with any water type that didn’t also have ice or psychic moves, and the plethora of rock/ground types.

I had started the run with Chyro the Charmander that I lost as a Charmeleon in the first half of the game, so Riki the Arcanine (initially Growlithe from Route 7) became the stand in for my fire type. It took a really long time until Flamehtrower at level 49 to evolve, but it was worth the wait.
August 25, 2024 at 9:32 PM
The MVP of the run has to be Lyricia the Lapras, from Silph Co. I get why this Pokémon is not allowed in some rulesets because she is absolutely overpowered. Whenever I needed a breather, I just swapped her in and healed people up. Being immune to crits means she can tank reliably.

Finished my first Nuzlocke run of Pokémon Fire Red yesterday, and I can see why this kind of run is popular, though I do wonder if it’s more popular when you have easy access to a speed up button because grinding without one takes a long time and grinding is kind of necessary.

Wasn’t sure what my first post should be, but I guess an intro wouldn’t hurt.

Name: Shen (He/Him)
Interests: The main thing to my name is the Yune Fire Emblem Randomizer. Fake Love Live fan since I mostly only played two now dead mobile games (RIP SIF/SIFAS).

I don’t do selfies, but have a Chika.
