✊ Solidarity with our colleagues in Ohio who are facing tremendous repression post-SB1. Faculty teaching conditions are student learning conditions. This is nothing less than an assault on the freedom to learn.
Our board member @cmcknichols.bsky.social & AAUP members from OSU & around the state contributed to this @dispatch.com article on the chilling impact of SB1 across Ohio. Between legal mandates & admin overcompliance, we are living the grim reality that thousands protested for over 2 years.
The "chill is real" on #Ohio campuses right now after #SB1 *and with federal attacks on + efforts to micromanage higher education -- cancellations, closures, + chalking and land acknowledgement bans, with some quotes from me as well, great piece in the Dispatch www.dispatch.com/story/news/e...

Our chapter, along with several others, has been pushing back on the repression of academic freedom at OSU—which often takes place around indigenous history, race, and diversity. Two articles today, taken together, show both what the repression and resistance look like.
