Gianni Infantino, the FIFA supremo, encapsulates and exemplifies almost everything that's wrong with the people's game, football ⚽️. So very far away from ordinary supporters across the world 🌎. Tonight, however, he could lower still his standards of behaviour. Let's see 👀

Alf Dubs is a 92 year old man who spent his life fighting for refugees, and in particular for refugee children. He fought the Tories tooth and nail during their last three terms, only to see Labour adopt far-right policies on immigration.

Plans to leave refugees in a state of perpetual uncertainty about where and if they can rebuild their lives are not just performative cruelty, they are counterproductive to integration and the economy. It doesn’t have to be like this - 1/2

The Prime Minister said in September that we are at a fork in the road. These asylum proposals suggest we have taken the wrong turning.

The idea that recognised refugees need to be deported is wrong.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Ah the 1970s.

Stagflation, three day weeks, collapsing infrastructure. Civil War in Northern Ireland. In yer face racism and bigotry everywhere. Bin strikes. Strikes in general. Blackouts. Industrial decline. Wage inequality. Dog crap everywhere. And households spent 25% of their income on food.

How we won that game tonight at Hampden, and 3-1 and all, is a bigger mystery than that of the Marie Celeste. 🤔🤭😲😂 Scotland versus Greece in 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

I was hoping against hope tonight that Scotland would not lose versus Greece at Hampden but we've been second best by a country mile. Then, Christie goes and equalises! 😲😲😲

My clear sense about 2026 World Cup qualification is let's not lose our home games versus Greece and Denmark. ☝️🙏 #Scotland #HampdenPark

Kasper Schmeichel is way past his sell-by date and his mistakes are dragging the whole team down. Naturally, Rodgers will stick by him and the odd good save here and there will keep him from being dropped. We knew we needed a decent keeper back in May. #Celtic #Braga

Ekechi Iheanacho has evidently lost his way over the past couple of seasons but he's still young and his profile - strong, fast and uncompromising - is what our attack needs. He has significant EPL experience and that's no joke. I, for one, hope he proves himself and makes a positive contribution.

Turgid affair at Ibrox earlier today, reflecting the impact on the hosts of the Club Brugge mauling on Wednesday and the Kairat Almaty disaster aftermath on the visitors.

An utterly awful game of football.

Absolutely rotten Celtic performance tonight against Kairat Almaty. We don't deserve anything from this game and the tie overall. A mediocre side of committed and hard working players stopped us from scoring. And terrible Idah first penalty kills us. 😡
