I knew getting back on dating apps after 3.5 years away would suck but my god the apps have gotten really bad haven’t they.

I just asked the woman working at my supermarket where the relish is for a potato salad. She said “you’re not putting that in potato salad,” walked out from behind her counter and made sure I got every single ingredient for a proper East German one.

Between Weapons, 28 Years Later, Sinners and now Alien Earth, I feel like horror fans are eating good

Couple sitting across the aisle from me on this train with a bunch of labubu keychains were watching No Country for Old Men on an iPad. They then started making out while the movie continued playing. I’m not entirely sure I didn’t hallucinate them.

So far the three sentences of Polish I have remembered from childhood have been enough to get my train ticket checked and to buy a coffee. Someone please tell my mom so she can finally be proud of me.

If you wanna talk to the actual godfather of AI talk to Frank Rosenblatt, who created the perceptron, one of the first practical neural networks. You might not reach him though he died in 1971.
The media will literally call anyone "the Godfather of AI." Here's 3 headlines and clips referring to 3 different dudes as the Godfather of AI.

As a media member, I hereby bequeath myself the title of "Godfather of AI." Please direct your questions about how scary AI is to me from now on.

There are Mentats everywhere for those with eyes to see.
Staying in a large and busy hotel. On my second morning there the woman who serves all the tables came and brought the coffee I ordered the day before. How did you remember that, I asked, you must have served hundreds of people. She smiled and tapped her forehead. My brain, she said, is a computer.

This is a FASCINATING article. Tbh I knew OnlyFans creators were automating messages, but I didn’t realize how broad-based AI support is. I kinda assumed there’d be a stronger anti-AI sentiment in the adult industry. www.theverge.com/ai-artificia...

A few months ago I wrote my first play, a very short one-act horror story. Today I get to see it performed. This is such an incredible feeling.

It says a lot that an organization that made a big deal out of stopping local endorsements felt so threatened by Mamdani that they basically broke that promise but in a way to keep what I assume they think is plausible deniability.
NYT Editorial board effectively endorses Andrew Cuomo today in the most weaselly possible way. “Don’t rank Mamdani, and it will probably be either him or Cuomo, sooo…”

We do know that amateurs can already post their writing right? There's no real barrier to doing that. What this means is that the Washington Post will be selling their brand credibility to anybody with an AI.

Wore a suit for a wedding in Montreal and made sure everyone took enough photos to last me a few years.

I’m in Montreal for the first time in a decade and I am sorry to Berlin but I have a new love.

There’s a couple, mid 40s, sloppily making out in this bookshop, like teens. I love this for them.

I’ve been a bit distracted but yesterday I hit the anniversary where Berlin is the city I’ve lived in the longest in my adult life. I’m glad this is home ❤️
