I am so sick of this discourse. The question isn't whether random left-wing people do irritating things. The question is why Democrats are held responsible for the actions of the fringe left while Republicans are not held responsible for the actions of the fringe right.
There’s a “Dems use alienating campus language” discourse going on; I think it’s basically right. College-educated America — media, boardroom, Dems — does adopt language that other people don’t use and sounds odd to them.

I’m a pretty strong First Amendment guy, but there’s a true threats exception, and there should be, and threats should be vigorously investigated and prosecuted. Bring down the hammer hard on more of these people./1
