Not quite the same, but at least a good step on the right path.

So far, Goranson's got strong characters and a solid world; a few of her butch lesbians blur together for me, but that's as likely because that's not my type as because of her writing, and also I was tired when I started. So, if vampire ethics tickle your fancy, I'd give this one a go!

I think my exact words to my spouse after I finished the first episode were "I'm probably going to have to read through the entire thing if only to see where this argument goes and what other perspectives get brought into play."

So, I'm in for the full ride, as it were.

Now, I have made it through exactly one episode, and I'm in this weird headspace wherein I've spent a lot of time thinking about how I'd argue with a vampire/demon/angel/etc. about the nature of their existence and what it meant for ethics and metaphysics, and that leaks into the reading.
