Now that the PEXEL GIF Animated plugs out (see previous posts on this😁)

I've begun porting them over to work with some #secondlife #slfurry ears!

I've asked 3 brands for a devkit, but only frettchenhaussl.bsky.social has graciously shared 😍 so I'll start with [FH] Shredded Canid Ears first!

Finally finished up the HUD for tinting the skulls! I decided to give users the flexibility to choose whatever color tint they wanted!

What's left? All the boring administrative stuff. Packaging everything, checking permissions and preparing the #gothcore #secondlife booth!

Update on my exclusive item for #gothcore #secondlife coming up later this month - here's how the polished in world item looks!

The skulls really make the GIF animation POP! 🤩
Next I have to work on the customizable HUD for the skulls!

Taking a break from the geometry side of things for a while.. optimizing for #secondlife is a pain in the ***

Switching tracks to texturing. Substance Painter is my fav tool for this! Thankfully I paid for this software before Adobe bought them, so mine's the Steam version 😍

This part is most fun!

Fit test!! This part... takes a lot of patience! Upload, adjust the LOD settings, adjust physics.. rinse and repeat, until I get the result I'm looking for!

Insider Tip: SL Viewers have the temporary mesh option to test meshes without paying each time, but I'd say the test grid's your best friend!

Next step in in my process.. is to optimize my mesh for #secondlife - I use a combination of remesh and decimate to bring down the triangle count. Lesser is better!

Now that I've been confirmed for the upcoming #gothcore event in #secondlife I figured I'd give a behind-the-scenes peek at my creative process in polishing my exclusive item - Animated Skull Plugs for the Swallow Gauged Ears! 💀👂

But first, I need to finish up this mesh in Blender!
