Entering #SecondLife events are huge risks to us small creators! I've been in events where I did not even break even. It's painful.
1) Given the sale slump that's hitting pretty much all of us, harder this year especially, I really don't understand how most events are still charging upwards of 4k for a fee and/or raising their fees in general.
If we can't make the fee back and profit over that, what's the point?

Now that the PEXEL GIF Animated plugs out (see previous posts on this😁)

Hey #secondlife, this one's important. Generative AI is, both conceptually and in practice, antithetical to the human creativity that made SL what it is. Without people making art of all sorts, SL is nothing. Please help remind Linden Labs of that.

Disappointed to see a fellow resident selling illegal streaming videos in Second Life. Just because it's easy to steal from big studios doesn't make it right. Piracy harms creators and the industry. We should support ethical behavior, even in virtual worlds.

Most times, the I effort put into creating a #SecondLife product is so much and not obvious. This includes efforts in ideation, product design, coding, testing, adjusting and marketing. IMHO, all of it is put into jeopardy by even considering AI.
If you've already put the effort into creating SL content to then run it through AI, why? This often leads to uncanny elements, customer service nightmares, reduced community support, and other weird flaws (omg the fingers). Why is that preferable to the original foundation?
