It's amazing how a mediocre picture taker (purposely avoiding photographer) can get a lovely pic when water and sunsets are involved. Also, Door County is lovely year round, even if a lot shuts down in the colder months...

I struggled with hanging this ornament this year because it's just awful what he's done to our house. BUT, it's the everyday people like us who need to continue remembering what should be, what can be, and what needs to change to get there. I love this country and he doesn't get to ruin that...

I'm just going to point out that teachers get worse than a sandwich from point blank range on a daily basis. I mean, as an AP, just yesterday my eyebrow was thinned by direct contact. This entire thing is asinine. Again, educators are expected to do better than law enforcement...

I want to be an admin who supports teachers, and I think I’m doing that. Two hints? One, a teacher was upset about something and lost it on me. I let her. Within 10 minutes I had an apology. Within a day, I had 3… Two, got an email today saying, “Please don’t leave us!” These feel so encouraging…

I’d love to be there but it’s after my girls’ bedtime. So I work on my tiny acts of resistance and raise a generation who will stand in the face of wrongdoing while these people do what I wish I could. From all the parents who wish we were with you right now: thank you, stand strong, and be loud!
