also, true story: achievement unlocked

recently, counsel for a govt agency read out an e-mail I'd sent to an unrep opposing party; judge wasn't impressed at the move but I recall thinking about that very e-mail, "write this as if it gets read out in court, write this as if it gets read out ..."

shouldn't be lost here that Suda is in Philly on a work visa -- she's Canadian -- and she and her family are risking deportation because PMA board members are interfering with her green card process now

in any event if he wants his license back he'll have to take the MPRE, might have to take the whole damn bar exam again or a pile of CLEs

see at least the last few pages of the document above

Giuliani's disbarment in NY was all about his knowing, intentional dishonesty to courts, legislatures, & the public

a pardon -- again, an admission of guilt (and of what, again?) -- won't go anywhere to re-establish his character and fitness

so much breathless posting about the pardons and everybody needs to calm down

Giuliani's pardon IN PARTICULAR is not going to do him any good whatsoever in any attempt he may make to get his law licenses back

he'd have more of a chance if he'd been disbarred for misappropriating client funds

depends on the court; SCOTUS page here includes guidance for amicus briefs: www.supremecourt.gov/filingandrul...

looks like the reason given in this matter was that the filer blew the deadline -- but also if the court isn't going to hear the case, there's no reason for it to accept amicus briefs

scratching my head on this, as well -- there are no criminal provisions in the Electoral Count Act or the updated legislation from 2022, IIRC
