Guess how much this big, ground-shaking deal raised the price of tomatoes?

ONE PENNY PER POUND.

That's it.

Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred is only a means to an end, and that end is his own glorification. That's his spiritual nourishment.

Am I the only one confused?

Are they launching the Diner to chase the SUV they put up a couple of years ago?

How is this guy an expert on launching Diners?

STUNNING: After turning the entire SSA upside over this Elon Threat Email, an email was just sent out within the hour basically saying 'nevermind'.

"Pursuant to updated OPM guidance, responses to the email from sender “HR” dated Saturday, February 22, are voluntary."
NEW: The Social Security Admin 800 line is being directly impacted today because 800 line staffers are being forced to spend a significant portion of their day writing Elon's email. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/the-p...

I really hope I have to delete this whole string of posts tomorrow because some adult at the FAA has prevented the chaos.
February 24, 2025 at 7:39 PM
So if this deadline is real a huge number of controllers will be RIFed and it will completely degrade the FAA's ability to allow airlines to fly. This chaos will quickly devolve into ground stops at most airports and eventually a repeat of the three days after 9-11. 11/

much less within 48 hours. There will be 5% of the controllers that will be on leave and not have the ability to check emails since the FAA email system requires it to be run on a FAA computer on a FAA server system.

the email quoted by multiple media outlets is accurate. At least 50% of the controllers at my former facility did not know they had FAA emails and those that knew they had emails did not check them on a regular basis. They did not even check emails on a monthly basis 9/

really didn't have access to FAA computers to read their emails. Controllers also did not have assigned time to go find a terminal and maybe read the emails.

All this is to say that there may be massive numbers of Air Traffic Controllers that will be laid off if 8/

When the notice was important enough and timely then the supervisor would go to each controller and make sure that each and every controller got the information they needed.

Again, nothing of real import was ever distributed via email and front-line controllers 7/

At the beginning of each shift we were to read a binder with all notices that had come out in the last day or week to keep us up to date. Each notice had a sheet attached with a space for each controller to initial that they had read the Notice. 6/

Each week we had a one hour briefing to inform everyone about the big changes and there may be day-long or week-long training for the really big changes.

Vital changes could happen at any time and there were procedures to disseminate a Notice to each supervisor or controller that needed to know. 5/

Of course, there was dozens of pieces of vital information that I needed to know about aircraft and airspace. These bits of information could be changed at any time and had to get to all of the controllers that needed to know about the change. 4/

check my emails and answer any that were important. Now since my job was to control air traffic there was absolutely zero chance that anything I would need to know for my ATC duties would be sent by email. 3/
