Congrats to OSU for thoroughly dominating Michigan from 6-0 down. Outplayed Blue at the QB position and really dominated the line of scrimmage.

What was that? TO with 2:03 in the 2nd?

Every time I got to ESPN’s website to read an article, there’s a video with Stephen A atop the page. He is the human equivalent of empty calories.

Or, maybe the Warriors are too small and too old to compete with the legitimate contenders atop the West. Maybe the roster construction is suboptimal.

As a YouTube TV subscriber, the carriage dispute with Disney made me realize just how little I watch ESPN studio content. I was grateful to get a $20 credit to NOT watch Stephen A. Smith.

This was SUPER awkward during the broadcast. But if you’re going to have Rick Barry on, be ready to catch some elbows.

There are days when I’m angry about the Disney blackout on YouTube TV, and then there are days where I’m like “Thank you Google for paying me twenty bucks to NOT watch Stephen A. Smith.”

In addition to GP2 being a zero on offense, maybe Kerr, like the rest of us has grown tired of watching him foul 3 point shooters.

I’m sure that they have gone over GP2 fouling 3 point shooters in film study and he continues to do it.

As I Dodger fan, I’m with you. But honestly, if I’m the Jays, I’m saying to my team, “Shohei Ohtani is not beating us. If we lose, we’re going to lose to Andy Pages or Alex Call. Let Ohtani steal second and see if Mookie Betts or Freddie Freeman can get him home.”

Don’t overlook the open admission of tanking. I don’t know if there is anything to be done about the proliferation of gambling outlets, but Adam Silver could revamp the lottery process tomorrow to disincentivize tanking.

On the left is the Party Democrats pretend to be.

On the right is the Party Democrats actually are.

Let’s not forget about Joe Biden, who showed up to the debate with the vigor of a demineralized fossil and Justice Ginsberg, who was offered a chance to step down at a time when her replacement would have been likely to continue her legacy.

The W has nothing but unrestricted free agents and players who could probably buy out their own undervalued contracts. Maybe the league should offer more than a roughly 9% revenue split and figure out a way to bring more transparency into the WNBA officiating.

The labor situation has to be taken care of before another expansion team is green-lighted, before the next attempt to convince the Connecticut Sun that the Sherman Anti-Trust Act is not a thing, before the next fine is issued for directing criticism at the WNBA’s substandard officiating.

David Stern knew what he had with Michael Jordan. The next commissioner needs to understand what he / she has in Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers not to mention great veteran players like Aja Wilson, Collier, Stewie and the abundance of talent coming into the league.
September 30, 2025 at 8:21 PM
The NBA owns a majority of the WNBA so this is now an Adam Silver problem. It is clear the WNBA players do not consider Engelbert a good-faith partner and are unlikely to negotiate with her.
September 30, 2025 at 8:21 PM
At her exit interview, Collier basically ended the tenure of Engelbert, with the final humiliation to come when the commissioner is unmercifully booed while crowning a WNBA champion in the weeks to come.
