Why are Americans so gullible and easily distracted. They won’t see the diversion for what it’s meant to be

Have y’all learned nothing?
Same script, different decade
If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people:

1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
8) It won’t take long

All lies.

In these times, it’s more important than ever to surround ourselves with the right people—your tribe. Seek support, find comfort, strategize, stay connected, and move forward with purpose and urgency.

Put that on everything

He thrives on chaos, attention, & instilling fear to paralyze action. While I take his actions seriously, I’m mindful of his intentions & won't let him stress me tf out. It is critical that we use every available remaining tool of checks & balances to hold him accountable & mitigate his overreach.

When you could have tried harder, done more, and chose not to—and then feel disappointed by your failure—it’s beneficial to sit with that moment of self-annoyance. Next time, let it motivate you to put in more effort, overcome your mistakes, and earn that sweet reward.

I’m always going to be “yall, go look at the full moon! It’s glorious!” type of girl. Nature is so amazing! I’m always fascinated by its beauty 😍🤩 #takingTime2SmellRoses

🗣️📣 When the ppl realize the true value of their power, it will all come tumbling down, which is why there’s concerted effort to misinform, pit us against each other & not truly educate learners, constituents, workers & the gen pop. Truth tellers will always be silenced, intimidated, discredited.

Feeling deeply disappointed when things don’t go as planned is natural, but sometimes our "Plan B" turns out to be the better path. We should take time to weigh the pros & cons of both our original desire & the alternative —hindsight & introspection often reveal the true value of our backup plan.

Apologize earnestly and henceforth not offend on that level. Changed behavior is what makes a true apology.

I’ve noticed farrrrr too many starter packs over here belonging to “respectable, woke, smart ppl” do not include a single Black person. There’s a plethora of intelligent, worldly, astute, witty Black people on this app. The pro DEI folks aren’t really, which is why we are where we are. I see you.

The further my destination from home is, the longer I’m away from home, and the more ppl I travel with, the more my overpacking sensibilities are appreciated and depended on. Every time one of them asks me for an item they attempted to shame me for packing, I gloat. Gleefully!

Why are people who don’t have an affinity for pet cats or dogs villainized? I’m a kind, compassionate, generous person but I have no desire to have pets - another responsibility. Glad most of the world seemingly adores pets and finds comfort in their company.

“To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious, is to be in a rage almost all the time."

- James Baldwin.
“It’s the Black experience,” said Hall, whose daughter Annaya was stillborn. “You’re told that you have to advocate for yourself, but when you’re in a melanated body and you advocate for yourself, it’s not taken seriously. If you raise your voice, you’re being abusive or abrasive....”
Black women in America are more than twice as likely as white women to have a stillbirth. Getting physicians to take their concerns seriously is one reason for this disparity, they say: “If you’re a Black woman, you get dismissed.”

Very little beats the rush of intl travel - tasting savory dishes, observing natives’ habits, outlooks on life, clothing, family interactions, sightseeing wondrous locales. The financial aspects of the USA dream aren’t obtainable in the States but are at fingertip’s reach in Asia&Africa. Contentment

Parenting includes more tears & fears than delights, but yet the majority of the world readily participates in copying themselves. Offsprings are a combo of both the positives & negatives of ourselves & our partners, their enviro & how they personally react to it. Who knows the person who’ll emerge?

The more life&experiences I’ve lived, the more I appreciate the nuanced differences in being happy vs content.Happiness is fleeting&needs to be constantly fed,but contentment is light, satisfactory, pleasant, and finds me.I no longer seek joyfulness.Contentment puts on me no pressures of aspirations.
