The rule of law matters.
Democracy matters.
Human rights matter.
Truth matters.
Justice matters.
Decency matters.

These principles are timeless—and they should matter even more to you when they matter less to the government!
Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.

Israel destroyed a Palestinian seed bank today. This is such a specific kind of evil, targeting literal hope for the future. Attempting to further alienate Palestinians from their home and land. So much destroyed just for the sake of destroying. It's awful.

Here I thought the US Gov is just concerned about Hamas 🤷‍♂️

Nope, the US Gov is directly involved in a campaign to eliminate the Palestinian people.

Genocide and famine are not enough!

Disgusting.

So Joe Biden's Administration knew Trump was in the #EpsteinFile and they choose to not release the files presumably because prominent D's were also In these files!???

They were ok risking the return of Trump in order to protect their friends!?

Disgusting, selfish and immoral group of people.

It’s infuriating that only two people have been indicted for what is clearly the crime of the century.

The entire political and military leadership of Greater Apartheid Israel should be hauled to The Hague—just like they did with Milosevic’s regime (and for far less!).

Israel is carrying out both the genocide and the engineered starvation of Palestinian children— but the U.S. gov ( among others) is directly complicit in enabling both.

Absolutely disgusting.

It’s been clear for a while now:

#SCOTUS no longer functions as an independent institution. It has effectively become an arm of the ruling party—just like high courts in hybrid and authoritarian regimes. The Court has been fully captured.District Court are the only remaining independet institutions
Since April 4, #SCOTUS has issued 15 rulings on 17 emergency applications filed by Trump (three birthright citizenship apps were consolidated).

It has granted relief to Trump ... in all 15 rulings.

It has written majority opinions in only 3.

Today's order is the 7th with no explanation *at all.*
Here we go again: Over an acerbic dissenting opinion by Justice Sotomayor (joined in full by Justices Kagan and Jackson), #SCOTUS, with no explanation, grants a stay in the Department of Education RIFs case—effectively clearing the way for the Trump administration to dismantle much of the agency:

Just remembered that around this time during his first term, Trump dropped the “Mother of All Bombs” in Afghanistan.

He bragged about it at the time, but a year or so later, he was negotiating a surrender deal with the Taliban.

A cautionary tale.

In 1999, NATO carried out a 10-week air campaign against Serbia. Over 1,000 aircraft flew more than 38K combat missions. While Serbia was forced to withdraw from Kosovo, post-war assessments showed its military was largely intact. And Serbia is a tiny country compared to Iran.

He didn’t cite any imminent threats to the U.S., only saying the action “eliminated the threat to Israel.”
Launching an unprovoked and illegal war on behalf of an apartheid/genocidal regime against a nation of 90 million is absolutely insane.

All supported by the US goverment.
Alleging Israel has committed ‘war crimes’ suggests a recognizable event: that there is a war happening, and there are some crimes in it. Gaza is different.

Absolutely DISGUSTING!

The U.S. siding with North Korea, Belarus, and a handful of pariah states to shield Vladimir Putin’s Russia is beyond shameful.
A historic betrayal.

This is an utter disgrace and a rejection of every democratic principle the U.S. claims to stand for.

Democrats in Congress are led by two weaklings who rarely have the right attitude to stand up and fight. Even when they try, they lack the fire and strong language needed to push back against this thuggish & lawless administration. Don’t expect anything better anytime soon.
This is all a good reminder that, “no help, no votes until the criminal conduct stops” is neither a big ask nor a politically perilous one.

The reality is, a substantial percentage of voters are sheep—across the board.

But this percentage is even higher among right-leaning voters. Trump was smart enough to recognize this early on and built his entire (winning) strategy around it.
“.. I don’t like the turbulence. I don’t like the chaos in the market,” said Paul Bisson, a 58-year-old, who .. voted for Trump. “That will make the economy worse, and that’s not what we signed up for.”

No, this only applies to United States, which is a very small part of the world.

Trumpist tech billionaires have limitted ability to control the narrative in other countries/other languages.
The world will continue to operate as normal, i.e most view U.S gov as extremist & unhinged.
Bush officials bragged that they could impose their “reality” on the world. They were wrong. But with the extraordinary level of control and manipulation their tech billionaire allies can exercise, Trumpists are much closer to that goal. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
