Voting at the Atrium Hotel was quick and easy this afternoon. There was one long line, but it wasn’t for my poll. Then, Iron Dog Books, Baaad Anna’s Yarn, and Tall Shadows Bakery, before heading back to my dog and a tea visit with chosen family.

A two hour wait later, I voted. Roxy got treats and attention from lots of people in line and ended our wait asleep in my arms. I feel for the election workers. The line was still snaking around Grandview Park when I left. By the time they can close and pack up, it will be midnight.

Could the reduction in City of Vancouver staff for the by-election be a small business boosting initiative? The person in front of me thinks it’s the ice cream truck lobby. At Britannia Community Centre now.
