Be the change, dammit.
@cpsc.gov We are fighting for you - whenever you are.

There is a person behind that handle - a federal worker- probably on admin leave right now.

To everyone supporting the federal workers in your life, thank you. I certainly feel the love.

The new rallying cry of the federal worker is "SPOON!"

The Tick has officially entered "life imitates art" territory. I am here for it.

This union steward is tired. All Feds should have, in paper form, their latest SF-50, their last performance evaluation, and their benefit statements showing FERS contributions and their SCD. Today. Now.

Yesterday, my agency sent an email - "message from management." Thankfully, it was a message of hope, of thanks and of respect. Not all corners of the government are this supportive right now. Mine is. So thankful.

When I read all the accounts of federal employees pulling the insanity of their agencies into the light I was so proud. True patriots - all of them.

The inverted flag isn’t disrespect — it’s a distress signal from naval traditions, used to show grave danger to life or property.

With a lawless man set to take power after attempting to overthrow the government, America is in extreme danger.

That’s why I’m posting it today.

Today is a significant day, the start of four years of resistance. Our daily mission from this point forward will be the unwavering support of the people, exposing any attempt to undermine democracy.

Depression is the result of overwhelmed empathy in the face of human cruelty. The cure lies in meditation, physical activity, and nourishing food.
Downside is that a lot of empathy can manifest as depression, living in this society.

In my opinion it is still better than the other option - being an intelligent sociopath with zero empathy. Our society at present actively encourages these people, and pushes them to the top.

I feel like I am in the click-click-click part of a rollercoaster ride where there's been no engineering on the coaster and I can't see the tracks. I also can't get off.

It’s J6. I start my work day in 22 minutes.

We’re still here. The institutions will hold. I have to believe that. Some of the institutions are made up of unionized, hard-working civil servants who love this country enough to endure shutdowns, sequestration and political abuse. We can outlast 47.
