One of our local gurdwaras hired a helicopter to bring in food for a community isolated by fires one year. They do some amazing work.

Ugh, yes. Stomach/side. It takes some work to get comfortable, for sure. I do find it easier in cooler temps as I burrito and have extra blankets and that extra padding helps with my sleep posture. It's not a long term solution, but I can do it for a few nights.

I use my regular earplugs (I use loop as they hurt my ears less) with noise cancelling headphones overtop. I'm not sure that would do it at ground level... I am back from the main intersections a bit.
