Caught this just in time to share it with my crew of incarcerated/formerly incarcerated/prisoner wives community on Facebook, as I was just about to spend the evening departing and abandoning all Meta products.

I've been posting about the prisoner firefighters for several days - this is unique.
A great write-up on the incarcerated firefighter program in California & the folks in prison helping out with the fires in LA.

Appreciate The Marshall Project for reaching out to me. All too often, folks write about fire camps without talking to people who’ve been to fire camps. Not the case here.

On this day in 2020, Fred Sasakamoose died.
He was one of the first Indigenous players to play in the NHL.
