1. Fave tumultus libertatis super serenitatem oppresionis.

2. Fac ut tuum Ovaltine bibas.
Basically, my Mum got a really fancy artificial tree.

I loved him, but couldn't keep him since Mama would have to return him to get a replacement.

But Herbert kinda took off on another platform.

Costco called and said I could keep him and still give my mum a replacement.

My autocorrect was desperate to change "Labour" into "Labor."

My phone demands that the U.K. must update spelling conventions to align with the United States - the center of the universe.

My uninformed U.S. perspective makes it seem like both Labour and the Tories are wildly out of touch, and unfortunately, the Tories just seem to game the system more effectively while Labour constantly shifts who they want to appeal to.

Seems primed for what you wanna do! You can make this happen!

3. (Ctd) Or just go like burn victim zombie/ghost about people who were lost during the fire. And some plot device about them being disturbed during some exploration or something.

3. (Ctd)So you could play with the idea of people being accidentally buried alive, (which probably didn’t happen) or of the times when people just straight up fell into the open holes throughout seattle as they filled the land in (which definitely DID happen)

3. (Ctd) So there are full city streets and storefronts just under the modern Seattle roadways. Spooky, abandoned, still accessible, dusty, cobwebbed, a true “ghost down buried from the past” feel.

3. (Ctd) Well…at some point…most of the city just straight up caught fire. Instead of repairing all the damage, the city decided to just bury several stories of the lower buildings and reshape the hills.

3. (Ctd) Back in the 1800s, Seattle was built on really bad topography that was way too steep and went way too close to the water. It was awful, screwed up plumbing and all sorts of stuff.

3. There’s also a really spooky real-life setting that…as far as I know…hasn’t really been used for a horror movie yet. The Seattle Underground.

2. (Ctd)Or you could just go full period piece and do your take on Roanoke with zombies or monsters…Sea monsters, maybe?

Or tie it in with Lovecraftian stories about unspeakable horrors from the deep! Cheesy fish monsters grabbing colonists and maybe a lame Cthulu special effect.

2. (Ctd) I’m such a sucker for the pale white asthetic of the traditional ghost look, and Elizabeth Dare has been described as like a pale horse or white flower or white deer or something (checking books) and a parallel between the pale horse and a pale spectre could be quite poignant.

2. Do a fucking roanoke movie. Maybe even found footage style, if you want to avoid a period piece. Group of friends…or maybe researchers or amatuer archeologists or (full blair witch ripoff) film school student documentarians.

1. (Ctd) This could be modern where the medium uses her kids to like research her customers and relay facts to her, or it could be placed somewhere between the Victorian era and the 1920s when spirit mediums were all the rage at parties.
September 4, 2025 at 4:43 PM
1. (Ctd) If we wanna go a comedic route, then maybe the ghosts catch on to what the fake medium is doing and make demands in exchange for keeping the con going.
September 4, 2025 at 4:43 PM
1. (Ctd)If we wanna go hardcore horror, then we go the route of the ghosts slowly taking over the woman each time she gets them angry, and despite the protestations of her children, the medium keeps going because her cons have gotten so successful and lucrative from using the ghosts.
September 4, 2025 at 4:43 PM
1. (Ctd) She gets the ghosts angry to throw stuff around for her customers to make them think that they’re actually speaking with the dead.

1. A movie about a con artist who pretends to be a spiritual medium. She moves into a spooky house with her family for atmosphere to sell her con. The house is haunted, but instead of being freaked out about it, she decides to just use the haunting as part of her con.

I am vexed.

This has vexed me.

DAMN IT, JANET.

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE FUCKING EASY PART.
September 3, 2025 at 4:56 AM
and they both failed do do what I want and the first one tasted so fucking god awful that I had to chug it to get it down and I thought I hadn't put much booze into either one because I was low and I USED UP MY HYPNOTIQ ON THAT SECOND ONE thinking a lighter blue might make the red pop but NOOOO.
