Hello #PortfolioDay!

I'm Oliver, a queer and disabled artist/writer based in the UK. I love to paint with ethereal lighting and playing with lost edges.

Whilst my illnesses are too severe for work, I still take part in charity projects and mutual aid (see below) and happy to be invited!

Aww thank you for the love on such an early WIP. I don't think I'll be up to using oils again until my bones are better adapted to the cold, so I'm sure I'll be working on this again before long (can do it in bed). 💙

My eyes aren't really in good shape for digital today, so I started colouring this robin instead. Felt like a suitable little friend as we head to December! And using alcohol markers always feels like coming home.

The study consists of a 45 to 60 minute online survey to be completed in one continuous session; you cannot save your progress or return to the survey later. All study results are anonymous. To participate, you must be 18 years or older, and identify as Black/African American/African Descent and LGBTQIA+. Late, but I wanted to jump in on this trend. While I love Fieren, I am deeply inspired by how brave this person was! They went for the hard thing, were curious, made us all rejoice and draw together!

the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

I also have a goal to contribute to purchasing a reclining desk chair. I have not been able to use my desk in over a year because I can't do art anymore without elevated legs, so the chair will give me a much easier setup. Of course, please prioritise those in need though!
