One reason fascism loves conformity is that it's basically industrialized feudalism: the "serfs" deserve the bottom of the barrel products, and mass production is cheapest when you don't think you should accommodate outlying sizes, people's sensitivities, and such.

I was explaining the Just World Fallacy to my best friend today. It is perhaps one of the biggest sources of social stagnation because people think *good will be DONE* by some higher power instead of understanding that we need to DO good for others if we want good to be done for them.
Think for a moment how many forms of oppression rely on or are exacerbated by the common acceptance of that fallacy: That as a general rule, good people come out on top, bad people get what's coming to them, and the reverse is only occasionally true.
