Canny good!

It’s been a canny day all round. I’m from Sunderland but I love to see The Toon do well (apart from derby matches, of course).

My political education started when I was a paper boy in Sunderland in the 70s. I read everything I could about Dick and learned that the party system wasn’t set in stone in the way my parents talked about it. Best wishes to all who knew him.

Hoping to recover enough for the Winter Wipeout, I don’t think I’ll ever get fit enough to do the Goat. The years have caught up with me.

I grew up on a council estate in the NE. When I got accepted for a science PhD my grandad assured my family that he could get me a proper job at a local factory. People like us didn’t study.

At least it keeps you inside, today.
