Older than before, trying to get wiser but failing to make meaningful progress & still not as energetic as I should be.
Enjoying the moments, places & people around me; not to be taken seriously.
None of us can predict how we would respond when an overwhelming & brutal force occupies our community.
We can engage in our community in safer times; learn who we can trust. We can help our community be more than a zone surrounding the place we work, sleep & entertain ourselves at home.
Every American needs to watch this:

🏥 Local people were promised a new hospital, need a new hospital, and deserve a new hospital; we cannot afford any more delays.

🚫 Conservative chaos and Labour inaction has brought our hospitals to their knees. It has to stop.

This piece is a perfect expression of my frustration with the modern leadership of Centre Left politics.

Government needs action; reflected in headlines. If the process & dialogue builds support in the second & third std deviation but slows progress we should act more mean!

Robert @bobbyllew.bsky.social & his team are an inspiration to many.
His Bond Villainesk sustainability den in the Cotswolds is evidence of his commitment to what he does.
I would love him to see a school building in London generating power [& wisdom] in a place of multiple deprivations.

Absolutely the sort of news we all needed!

"Farage was wearing a GB News pin. He was there to launch and promote a show in a company he has shares in."

Is Farage in the US to represent Britain, as he claims, or to represent a right-wing news channel launching in America that very day? 🤔

I started to read this book (finally) this week. So far, I must say, it has been cathartic!
I hope that many more people will seek this book out & enjoy the read.
Resulting dialogue may help us collectively find a way to restore an ambition for mutual benefit & co-operation in national wellbeing

I picked up on an alternative to a privately run railway network in a chat in the other place. Perhaps the media team in UK Dept for Transport will forward to @heidialexander.bsky.social
Put simply: why not make all railway operating companies into Cooperatives run for the benefit of customers?

Nasty classist tripe. To infer all working class people are anti immigration is as grotesque as it is incorrect. Farage and Tice are the main cheerleaders for anti-immigration and couldn’t be any less working class.

I have a question for @gjuk.bsky.social
He may not see it here because he is more active in the other place; a darker place in my view.
Did you engage with the Community Energy Network in your dialogue on Zonal Pricing?

Today this lovely lady managed something that I would not have considered even as a young man. The cycling achievement is self explained. The value of our The Ark Cancer Charity cannot be overstated & every bit of publicity should be cherished. Please share.

This is the best news that I have heard for a while (on the topic of Ukraine’s self defence). It is true that we (most NATO nations) rely too heavily on the USA. It is time that we started to work harder for mutually reasonable solutions that are resourced from within the European nations.

I found this to be a compelling read.

Perhaps my frustration with the main stream media has done me a disservice; I was not previously aware of this election! Perhaps my head in the sand habits (focusing on music) is just what I need. In reality, the elections in Germany are beyond my influence.
So much is at stake when Germany goes to the polls tomorrow. My take on Friedrich Merz and a huge mistake he made during the campaign.
While Germany can't be seen as that borderline-boring bastion of stability anymore, the centre might get its act together after all, ironically thanks to JD Vance. 👇
The far right rising
Ahead of a historic German election, the AfD is courting the global right – and threatening to upend European politics.

Weaponised incompetence from the previous HM Government is a brilliant & concise summary.
We do need something different from UK Labour Party. When will we see the pragmatic problem solving that many of us expect from this Govt?
The last government failed to stop the boats, to process asylum claims, or to save lives.

We know why: that was what they wanted.

What is this government's excuse for following up with more disastrous & deadly failure? @teamlabouruk.bsky.social? www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JVR...

My license fee is worth paying for this alone but the BBC offers so much more.
We are lucky to have such a brilliant national broadcaster that aimed to speak to the whole nation.
