Started work on the Lima King, the tender drives work fine but the loco is so lightweight that it jumps the points on Hacksworth way too easily, sooooo she’s being converted to loco drive, Triang Jinty chassis with Scotsman wheels

Oakland, 1939. This handsome 4-6-0 poses at 16th street station. Note the ANCIENT wooden truss-rod combine behind the locomotive, kind of shocking to see this still in revenue service by this point, as the shift to all steel cars began in 1915 for passenger safety.

So a while ago I started an N gauge layout and got pretty far with laying track. And then I stopped working in it and eventually started to not really like the current plan. So I’m starting over with a much more simple plan!
