Jonathan Demme's CITIZENS BAND is weirdly a look at early social media.... its too cute for its own good, but, also, it is kinda cute. Fun seeing such a cast of great character actors, from Roberts Blossom to Charles Napier, Ann Wedgeworth and Ed Begley Jr, Richard Bright, Candy Clark etc. #filmsky

Saw Linklater's BLUE MOON. It's like a terrific later Woody Allen film, but without Woody and all that comes with that. Deceptively simple, cloaking its layers in wit, charm, desire and drama. Hawke's hair reminds me of Fred Ward as Henry Miller, though. Recommend. #filmsky

Read Abel Ferrara’s memoir SCENE. Raw, systematically chaotic, redemptive, not for the squeamish. Like his films. Loved his early work, lost touch post New Rose Hotel. SCENE fills some gaps, vividly. I crossed his path briefly in Cannes '92, that era particularly resonated. Heavy, well-written.
