There's this weird energy going around MAGA rn that TFG's GOP & half the WH are out to get him (backstabbing). Is he trying to ring the wagon 'round or is he trying to make it look like they're trying to take him down thru some shadow coup to rile up his cult & keep them frothing for him, alone?

She's not mistaking anything. In their world, this is a genius move--a series of them. Most of them get their positions, businesses, degrees, etc. using similar tactics. Look at the tech-bros. Zuck isn't a genius. Bezos isn't a genius. But to these people, they are, because they're at the top.

None of these people care whether or not Musk developed/created/designed any of this himself. He's a "genius" because he bought all of it & put his face on it. That counts to them. That's it. That's his genius. He got into the country & bought a bunch of stuff & now he's the richest man in the world

Some of them are just angry about it & that's worrisome, but mostly people will hopefully stay home. In IN, State Sen played smart & voted no on the map. State House didn't. We'll see how that goes. House panders to MAGA. But anger only burns so long. It's just seeing if it burns out before midterms

The only thing I give her credit for is continually pointing out he's a billionaire. That works on them (I see it out in Indy suburbs, which are full of white people who thought he's "one of them" but are upset he's so rich now & doesn't care).
