I wish she was wrong but a lifetime in tech tells me she is not. I have witnessed the most childish, inappropriate, unprofessional behaviour from men in tech so many times, and it was given a pass because they were good at programming. I was never afforded the same grace as a woman.

Sometime today I will make my way down to Brighton for #FFConf and will likely be at the Async meet-up 🤗
Last conference of the year!

So @html5test.com is just casually doing two talks in the same day 💪🏻 #HalfStackConf with a dork list bonus track. What a treat.

✅ ticket acquired.

Quite gutted that this is the last one. I’ve attended nearly all of them, and the memories and friends I’ve made there are so precious to me.

I’m also forever grateful for the faith the team had in me, which allowed me to be a speaker twice. See you in May 🧡

I’m swinging by @halfstackconf.bsky.social today just to remind everyone I was on the winning team of the quiz last year #HalfStackConf

public.monster is a homage to the old web built on the new web. Inspired by @sachajudd.com at #btconf, done in hours

It doesn't, or one of my best jokes doesn't work any more:

- What's the fastest cake*?

- It's so fast, it's scone!

(it's gone, geddit?)

It's a wrap! I did five runs of this talk so it's time to overshare on my blog, as usual.

love this. refactors should be based on actual needs and real benefits, not the desire to “leave a mark” on the codebase

This talk alone was 1000% ROI on the @beyondtellerrand.com ticket!

And I got to meet @jason.energy and @jakearchibald.com in person.

And @ohhelloana.blog and @bell.bz outlined half of my strategy for 2026 with their brilliant talks.
