I agree but I see Frank as worse than a caretaker. I think he’s that bad. I’m also not convinced the manager market is so horrible. We have a really talented group of prime age players - why can’t we steal Valverde or Hoeness? I think Frank is a friendly, smiling virus who is hurting us deeply.

I actually haven’t heard a single compelling reason to let him stay another day. We knew what we know now, 2 months ago. The moment we realized we were headed in the wrong direction we needed to course correct. We shouldn’t spend another 6 months getting further off target.

Even this is a weak argument because he’s actively harming all of our young players. I would rather have a “bad“ coach who focused purely on development even if we finish 12th. Start every player under 26 except Romero and Vic.

When the organizational system is bad and haphazard, as it is at spurs, it is more important to have a talented and inspiring manager.

I don’t know if he has another approach. I’m skeptical. We should be bolder and sack him now. Keep the set piece coach if possible.

One hypothesis: Brentford (like Brighton) is an organization that sees coaches as cogs in larger system. Brentford over-performance was attributable to their systems and not Frank’s individual brilliance.

There is nothing to suggest this will turn around once x or y player returns because currently we have no system with which to deliver Kulusevski or Solanke the ball. Frank can leave and be replaced. The longer we wait, the worse it will get.

Frank is actually much more slippery and shady than I realized at the start. I thought he was just in over his head. Now I wonder if he’s also spineless.

I thought maybe you had a reason for thinking he was clever and that by learning it, I would feel hopeful instead of fatalistic. It‘s the social part of social media.
