(The highest rising cost for a business lately is card fees and POS subscriptions, maybe followed by rent and insurance. But card fees are ASTRONOMICAL and most businesses end up just biting that, as it's illegal to charge more for card transactions, but we can give a discount for cash ones)

I mean, it balances out. We also lose money on the other end if your bill is $19. If you pay with card your bill is actually a little higher bc of card fees, so either way you save money paying cash. The only people who lose with cash are the card and point of sales companies who can't extract fees.

My bar doesn't accept any change, just paper bills. If your tab is $19.51, you pay $20, if it's $19.49, you pay $19. It's been at least 5 years since I worked somewhere that actually took coins (this works best in NY where taxes can be rolled into prices, so a $9 drink will always be $9 flat)
