While today some anarchists in and outside of Ukraine vehemently support that state even as it engages in conscription and imprisonment, it's important to remember that most historical anarchists, such as Michel and Malatesta, were vehemently against militarism and conscription.

I would be careful with this line of thinking. It fairly easily lends itself to fedjacketing. While this theory is not impossible, there are legitimate leftists who are are very angry at tesla and want to hit them where it hurts. It would be wise to not make assumptions and deflate any militancy 1/2
