need to make it so the stick has to be entirely inside the grid

I've made some adjustments since this but we are back
I've been busy and then I let perfectionism stop me from starting because I wasn't sure I could make things exactly what I wanted, remembered the point is to learn and do silly things, so:

Final update for this thread
The dirt slinger is being repurposed to a joke item, but with the added flair of having a hidden quest associated with it, at each stage it will be replaced in the inventory with something else, here is an example of it being transformed into a different dirt item

the hard part was really making the particles spawn in a rectangle around the spear that actually was rotated around the spear, I was of course overcomplicating things

Played with Xna framework for 2 days and realised I have no idea what I am doing or where to start
I made the shadow projectile have a darker shadow thing and then played with trig I could have done on a napkin in the first year of my degree for hours to make these particles get pulled in

I went a bit overboard and animated the shadow projectile

A huge bonus is that everything I'm doing wants to fit the original aesthetic of the game, and as such is massively referenced from art assets made by real professionals, in this case Light's Bane

This actually only took half an hour or so, but then I realised I was late for something and then I was away for the weekend.
Obviously the sprite, sound, and various numebr tuning is yet to be done, I'm still using various placeholders, but the behaviour is done.
