I mean, if they did a crash course on how to identify that something is a conspiracy theory, the kinds of “reasoning” conspiracy theorists tend to use and how it’s flawed, etc, that’d genuinely be a useful thing to have a succinct educational video series on. I’d send it to certain relatives.

My initial read of this is that it's a not-unreasonable set of conditions, and that the drafting attorneys took care to include language limiting the range of uses.

It seems like even if for some reason you did need the tips of the arrows to be wooden, there still should be some way to add weight to get better balance. Maybe by having bands of metal around the shaft at specific points.

Maybe donate the cost of cookies to something like the Free Law Project nonprofit. It’s the org that runs CourtListener and in general provides free access to legal tools that lawyers use.

Is that why mine keeps trying to capitalize the word “ace”? Because it thinks it’s a name or something?
(I am an asexual person. I do a fair amount of talking about aces/ace people. Unless it’s at the beginning of a sentence I do not want “ace” capitalized.)

The repetitive nature of many of these orders can be explained by the fact that each time he releases another batch, an ocean of adrenaline and cortisol washes over the country. It's pretty clear that more than any specific agenda item, this is the official strategy for the next four years.

Oh of course, definitely not a relief from the perspective of the countries being tariffed (and especially not Canada given the 51st state bs). From inside the US it just feels slightly less likely that *all* trade of *all* foreign products will completely cease compared to how it felt 2 days ago

The door-in-face negotiation tactic - make a very high initial demand (lots of 30-50% tariffs) that is later lowered (10% tariffs) to make the later demand *seem* smaller. If he’d started out by using 10% across the board it’d *still* have garnered outrage, but now the “pause” feels like a relief

The existence of aces (& aros) tends to push back on certain societal assumptions. There’s the idea of a Relationship Escalator, where society expects everyone to seek monogamous partnership followed by sex then kids as necessary to achieve happiness. Happy aspecs often challenge this by existing
