🔥🔥🔥 Digital marketing is both a large & small industry. Threatening people isn’t the way to get a good response & generally results in ostracisation from most public platforms.
Doesn’t matter where you get published - if you threaten people word gets around and you get shadowbanned.

What are the perfect conditions to fail at SEO?

I could name a few: overselling expectations, undervaluing the process, obsessing on the wrong KPIs - all are very frequent. BUT, one that's less immediately obvious is resourcing SEO without providing an obvious/clear path to implementation.

From my own traffic analysis: AI Overviews Inclusion has a negative impact on sites already ranking in top organic positions, even if they're also shown in the AIO or not 👇 This coincides with most research out there too.

Early days to draw conclusions but the data is already pointing to some losses in the CTR.

"SEO is always changing" - but is it, really?

Every time I look at my SEO basics slides over the last 10ish years, I wonder how much needs to be changed/updated. Besides updating screenshots for GSC or GA4 + new/different SEO tools, a lot of the core material always seems pretty stable.
