Got to play my first game of Knarr today. I’m notoriously terrible at engine builders, but I hit the end game trigger first! The player after me then tied me in points and won on the tiebreaker though, so 🤬🤬🤬

Everyone else is back over here, so I’m back too! Sadly, I’ve resigned from my company so not sure how to continue this account as the Office Game Cafe - either start a new cafe in a new office, or go back to my old company. We’ll see!

Had the pleasure of teaching some rather seasoned gamers Tiny Towns by @petermacp.bsky.social today. Watching them squirm when they realized they boxed themselves on was a delight. Top 50 game for me for a reason!

I think I’m addicted to Spicy. First heard of it from Actualol. I wish I had the time and creativity to be a content creator so I could give back to this community in the same way. For now I’ll settle for running the cafe in Singapore and helping publishers by shouting about their great games

Won’t post a photo because spoilers, but just finished August in Pandemic Legacy S2 in an absolute nail biter. One more incident/outbreak and it would have been curtains. 8 wins/2 losses so far! Thank you @robdaviau.bsky.social and Matt Leacock!

Our cafe is in a semi-public space in the office, at worst you need to be a guest of an employee to be there. Three games have gone missing (Wavelength, Monopoly Deal, and Unlock Mythic) and I’m peeved. People not checking them out or stolen? I don’t know…

Our second board game auction of the year is complete with delivery of the last game today. Every six months, we auction off games that received no checkouts in the past year, providing those games with happy new homes and generating funds to refill our shelves in the process!
