It's such a broad group, the vast majority of all humans, I don't think there can be in-group cohesion to declare such a standard. Cis people don't identify with being cis/not being trans, and any "narrow subsection" can be an enormous group of people who identify with each other, not fellow cissies

If people woke up one day and decided they were offended to be called "heterosexuals" I would think that's dumb but I guess under your framework I would have to yield. You say my opinion counts on "cisgender" though so I say people offended by that are looking to be offended and should get over it

I'm cisgender (as are 99% of people...) and I don't think people "don't have sympathy" for me because they say 'cisgender'... Especially considering the vast majority of people who say the word "cisgender" are cisgender. I don't even know what you would replace it with. "Normal"? 😬
