What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Thought I’d have a quiet morning and indulge in finishing my book. Instead I had a good cry after reading this passage.

This is the first time I‘ve seen universal masking acknowledged as community care in a novel not specifically set in 2020.

Didn’t expect it or my emotional response.

I have a feeling my neighbor kids feel the same way.

Only explosions around Portland are explosions of color.

Two days after my mom died, my son and I planted her favorite flowers to mark her passing in own private ceremony.

We’ve made sure to give them sun, but not too much. Watered them daily. And even caged them when it seemed like the squirrels were digging everything else up.

This week they bloomed.

It is! I had to step out on the porch to confirm and it is glorious!
