Most of Franklin south of Papakura is confiscated land. Twelve ships of immigrants were brought out to inhabit the land, which had been subdivided into five and 10 acre blocks.

Currently, Wordle and other phone games like SkipBo and Solitaire et al. Herald puzzles in newspaper. Was a big PokemonGo player until I reached Level 40. Loved PC games such as AofE, Warcraft and Diablo.

The trees are being poisoned first then removed, so I suspect the foot/rootball will go. The river bank will suffer, I suspect as it's been built up with silt over the years.
Currently the work is focused on mulching the bamboo which was cut down in October.

Look, I'm not sure. This is a project being managed by a developer as a council requirement to offset a particular development elsewhere. They are meant to be starting work on removing tree this month. I'll let you know.

It's a natural stream coming from ranges a short distance away. It joins a larger stream on our boundary, which eventually meets the sea. We have freshwater eels, which eventually migrate at around 40 years old to Tonga from New Zealand.
