As a fellow old head convention goer (20+ years), read thru this thread. People often ask me how I've been doing it for this long and this thread brings up a lot points as to why I keep doing cons. Staffing and finding new ways to engage is what has kept me going.
I have been repeating myself all weekend about this but it's something I care a lot about! For those of us who have been going to cons a long time (I started at AX 05 so I'm 20 years DEEP), we eventually all hit a metaphorical wall where we question if this thing we've been doing is worth it. (1/7)

I think my plants know when I'm not feeling good because they either perk up or grow taller just to cheer me up.
