Genuinely progressive local politicians across the city, including members of the @nycprogressives.bsky.social, are doing SO MUCH every dang day to help and protect all of us.

And millions of everyday New Yorkers are saying NO to bullshit and fascism and racism and bigotry.

The people have spoken and we’re happy they put an end to old ideas, corruption, and bad faith politics. We look forward to rolling up our sleeves and continuing our vital work on behalf of this great city.

Despite a well-funded, self-serving, and downright racist effort by Andrew Cuomo and his billionaire backers to smear our progressive movement, tonight’s returns serve as a mandate to enact the kitchen table policies New Yorkers have long-deserved.

Not only did each of our incumbents on the ballot return to the council, we will now have a people-powered leader in Gracie Mansion. Congratulations Mayor-Elect @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social !

This election, New Yorkers turned out in droves to deliver a mandate for progressive governance and we are ready to deliver.
