UK drops six more places on the ILGA-Europe #RainbowMap to now lie at 22nd, an outlier in Western Europe. The only country to fall further is Orbán's Hungary. Ten years ago the UK was first on this list. Only six years ago it was third. "A co-ordinated global backlash aimed at erasing LGBTI rights."

The right way for Mahmood to respond to the substantial and substantiated criticisms of the Supreme Court decision is to address them.

To pretend it is illegitimate even to advance criticism is to mimic autocracies and amplify the stench of impropriety. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I can’t understate just how deeply unhelpful this ‘intervention’ is from The Tatchell Foundation.

LGBT people seeking asylum already face an overwhelming culture of disbelief and denial, they already have to endure intrusive & risky questioning through their asylum journey

This "debate" about who should use what toilet doesn’t benefit anyone. It doesn’t fix the underfunding of women's refuges, NHS waiting lists leaving women in terrible pain, mums skipping meals to feed their kids. How about we get on with tackling the real issues affecting women?

We'll be supporting Victoria, and other representative groups to challenge the ruling.

Megathread of pro-trans petitions on Parliament’s petition website. If Labour suddenly gets hit with debates for a bunch of pro-trans petitions, maybe they’ll realise this issue isn’t going away and they’ve fucked up.

I’ll add more as I find them.
