I adore how hard Tsuburaya’s team worked to have Mothra move like a real insect. She’s been so defined by modern artists (Kawakita, Kamiya, Asada) and their focus on serenity, but it’s clear in ‘61/‘64 in the quick cuts and choppy editing that she’s twitching and speeding like a real silk moth?
