So Windows just turned 40 years old. Happy Birthday I guess, although the latest versions have gotten worse than their predecessors.

And today I finally did the same with Act V. Took a bit of grinding for better gear but I eventually pulled it off and managed to slay Baal. Oh and of course I went to The Secret Cow Level afterwards. :P
After over 20 years, it's finally done. I completed Act IV in Diablo II. Took me a while...

Ugh, how much is it to ask to just have a nice quiet pint or two? Regardless of the bar it seems every time I go there alone some guy spots me and sticks around like bad news even after I tell them I'm really not interested.

Ever since I got this PC it has had severe separation anxiety. Basically, every time it's left unused for a few days it struggles to boot the next time I try to do so. This time it was unused for five weeks due to a vacation and the situation is so bad I'm getting an old-school BIOS error message.

This year is supposed to have less wasps than last year. I say bollocks to that, I've already had to destroy eight small nests in a single weekend at the cabin. One of them was inside the mailbox, attached to a magazine!

Coffee prices are getting ridiculous so I bought some store brand cheap stuff a while back. And it tastes horrible, I nearly puked this morning when I had my second cup. At this rate I might have to switch to tea and only buy coffee when there's a special offer on actually good brands...

First thoughts on Linux Mint XFCE:
-very easy to install and start using for a Windows smoothbrain like me
-runs pretty well even on aging hardware
-some basic functions that were very easy in Windows take a bit of learning
-biggest fault so far is the lack of proper display settings
-very easy to install and start using for a Windows smoothbrain like me

Found a new LCD panel that fit my old laptop from a local auction site for 16€ (incl. shipping), while exact replacements would've been around 50€ on eBay. The next step is getting rid of Win10 (which is too heavy for this) and dipping my toes into Linux for the first time ever.

The more I study myself the more flaws I find. It would be nice to find something good for a change.

I feel like going out but also feel it'd be rather pointless to go out alone just to get some expensive drinks. And the company I could find in the local joints is not really the type I'd be interested in right now.
