Amateur woodworker and semi-professional asshole. Way too old for a new social media app but I'm here cause Twitter sucks now. Mostly liberal. Not a goat.

He/him.

I have no idea what I'm doing.
I still kinda want one.

Made some more cutting/serving/charcuterie boards.

Played around with the sizes a bit this time, give a little more variety.

Walnut, cherry, black locust and one big ass piece of oak. Seriously, you could kill a guy with that thing.

Walnut bowl with pewter lid, 7" wide by 3"tall, paste wax.

The stuff with the pewter lids are proving to be very popular at the craft shows.

Ambrosia maple bowl, 7.5" wide x 4" tall, tung oil. I absolutely love ambrosia maple, just a gorgeous wood. The dark streaks are a result of the ambrosia beetle boring into the wood.

Bolivian rosewood bowl, 6" wide x 2" tall, tung oil. I think I picked this up in Denver a couple years ago and finally got around to it. Without question some of the prettiest wood I've ever worked with.

Tiny maple bowl, 4.5" wide x 1.5" tall, tung oil. This thing cracked all to hell as it dried, frankly, it should have gone on the burn pile but I liked that little void on the side. I may keep this one.

Hickory bowls. They're all about 5.5" wide x 2.5" tall and finished with tung oil. I like hickory, it's easy to work with and it's a really pretty wood.
